2008 Annual Meeting

The upcoming AFTA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia will focus on these intimate connections with a specific focus on intimacy in a family context . The Meeting will explore intimacy with couples, across the generations, and between systems. Presenters informed by multi-disciplinary research and ideas as well as the field of family therapy will stimulate us to stretch our thinking about the complexity of intimate connections. In the spirit of the Annual Meeting's theme, this will be a Meeting of connection with each other so that we may support each other and work together toward a strong future. We are excited to make known a partial list of plenary speakers that include; Mary Catherine Bateson, Peggy Papp, Salome Raheim, and Michele Scheinkman. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we will be appling for hours of continuing education credits for all components of the Meeting (i.e., Interest Groups, Brief Presentations, Plenary Sessions). This Annual Meeting promises to be one that you will not want to miss!!
