Rachel Dash, MSW

Rachel Dash, MSW is Director of Family Therapy Training at the West Virginia University Medical School Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry. She consults to programs serving adolescents and families in rural WV and to the West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence, which honored her with their annual award in 2008. She has facilitated polarized conversations about gay and lesbian inclusion and leadership in church diocese in West Virginia and Florida and given numerous workshops and presentations in the areas of community facilitation, family/couple therapy and respectful collaboration with people who have been traumatized by violence/abuse.

She was program chair for AFTA’s 2006 annual meeting in Chicago and has been membership chair of AFTA. She has co-facilitated the Women's Institute, been a member of the social policy committee and is presently a member of the membership committee and co-chair of the Mindfulness Interest Group.
