Letter of Recommendation

AFTA is an organization of senior teachers and researchers in marital and family therapy. It is dedicated to enhancing the development of family therapy theory, technique, and research. Three recommendations are required. At least one must be from an AFTA Member. Two must be supervisors or people who have direct knowledge of the applicant’s work in relation to the qualifications for membership.

Members are expected to hold a terminal professional degree in a health or mental health related field (subject to evaluation by the membership committee) or an advanced degree in one of the social or behavioral sciences and demonstrate contributions in at least one of the following:
